The Clinical Pharmacist ensures the Pharmacy provides optimal clinical services daily. He/she assists the Pharmacy Director in providing efficient, quality pharmaceutical care for patients through the lifecycle and functions using the framework of the organization’s policies and procedures.
EDUCATION REQUIRED
Graduate of an accredited College of Pharmacy
EDUCATION PREFERRED
Doctor of Pharmacy degree
LICENSURES OR CERTIFICATIONS REQUIRED
Currently licensed to practice Pharmacy in the State of Georgia
LICENSURES OR CERTIFICATIONS PREFERRED

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
Experience in Hospital Pharmacy
EXPERIENCE PREFERRED
Completion of an ASHP accredited residency
Comparable clinical pharmacy experience may substitute for a Doctoral degree or ASHP accredited residency.

Floyd Medical Center is a 304-bed, full-service hospital located in Rome, Georgia. Serving as the main campus for Atrium Health Floyd, the hospital contains a certified Chest Pain Center, designated Bariatric Surgery Center of Excellence and Breast Imaging Center of Excellence.
Floyd Medical Center is also home to a state-designated Level II Trauma Center, a behavioral health center, specialty centers for pediatrics, wound care, and hyperbaric therapy. It houses primary care and urgent care networks of providers and hosts a realm of outpatient services, including the operation of the Floyd County Clinic and an associated pharmacy for uninsured patients.
