Title: Sr. Manager, Marketing Technology Solutions
Location: Dallas, Texas (REQUIRED)
The Role
The Sr. Manager, Marketing Technology Solutions is a key member of the Marketing Technology Solutions team, tasked with the exploration, development, and execution of McKesson’s internal communications technology stack —including intranet, digital signage, and the employee mobile app. This role is also responsible for supporting the broader Marketing Technology strategy and marketing innovation initiatives.
The Sr. Manager will partner closely with Corporate Communications, HR, and Technology teams to ensure the digital channels are effective, engaging, and aligned with business objectives. This position will partner with two existing specialists and acts as a subject matter expert and strategic advisor for internal digital channels, while also contributing to enterprise-wide marketing technology innovation.
Key Responsibilities
Internal Communications Technology Stack (75%)
- Lead strategy, roadmap, and execution for internal digital channels: intranet, digital signage, employee mobile app, and related platforms.
- Oversee enhancements, governance, and adoption of shared communication solutions, ensuring alignment with business objectives and brand guidelines.
- Serve as business owner for digital employee channels, representing the needs of communicators and employees in technology decisions.
- Partner with internal communicators, HR, and Technology to advise on strategy, update content, and optimize channel functionality.
- Monitor, measure, and report on channel adoption, engagement, and content freshness; identify trends and recommend improvements.
- Lead periodic performance audits of internal digital channels; ensure governance, UX/UI consistency and channel optimization.
- Evolve the guidance and support we provide to site owners, editors, and users for internal channel updates, including communications and change management.
- Stay current on emerging technologies and best practices in internal communications; recommend new solutions as appropriate.
Broader MarTech Strategy & Innovation (25%)
- Collaborate on MarTech strategy, employee and customer experience, and marketing innovation initiatives across the enterprise.
- Identify opportunities to integrate new marketing technologies and digital solutions to enhance employee engagement and communications.
- Support the development and implementation of marketing technology pilots, including partnering with out AI & Automation team, to support AI/Automation growth across MarTech initiatives.
- Partner with business process owners to map, test, and refine technology-enhanced workflows.
- Develop and deliver training programs to drive adoption of new digital and marketing technologies.
- Research and evaluate emerging MarTech trends and assess their potential impact to our employee/customer experience, operations and tech stack.
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements
- Degree or equivalent and typically requires 7+ years of relevant experience (focus on marketing, marketing technology, operations, digital workplace, or related disciplines)
Critical Skills
- Deep expertise in intranet, digital signage, employee mobile app, and internal social/video tools (e.g., Yammer, Stream).
- Strong knowledge of communications-related technologies and digital channel governance.
- Experience defining strategic roadmaps and executing technology enhancements.
- Ability to communicate effectively with executives and non-technical users.
- Strong measurement and analysis skills; ability to report on adoption, engagement, and content performance.
- Experience with project management, release management, and quality assurance processes.
- Familiarity with O365 tools, Power Automate, and workflow automation.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills; customer-oriented mindset.
- People management and demonstrated leadership skills; ability to coach and develop team members.
