Senior Intraday Trader

Main Purpose:

Trafigura is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Intraday Power Trader to join our European Power Markets trading team. In this crucial role, you will be responsible for executing short-term trading strategies, analyzing market trends, and managing the company's positions in real-time to maximize profits and minimize risks.

• Execute short-term trading strategies in the European Power Markets, leveraging your expertise to identify and capitalize on market opportunities

• Analyze market trends, price movements, and relevant data to identify trading opportunities and make informed decisions

• Manage and optimize the company's positions in real-time, employing effective risk management strategies to maximize profits and minimize risks

• Collaborate with analysts and other traders to develop and refine trading strategies, leveraging collective expertise and insights

• Ensure strict compliance with regulatory requirements and internal risk management policies, maintaining the highest standards of integrity and ethical conduct.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in intraday trading within the European Power Markets, with a proven track record of success

• Strong analytical and quantitative skills, with a keen eye for detail and the ability to interpret complex data sets

• Excellent decision-making abilities under pressure and in fast-paced environments, with the ability to think critically and act decisively

• Proficient in trading platforms and tools relevant to the European Power Markets, with a deep understanding of market dynamics and trading strategies

• Strong communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
