About the role

Full-Time Overview
The Finance Manager for The Luxury Collection Hotel will oversee the Accounts Payable and Payroll functions at the Luxury Collection Manhattan Midtown. Primary responsibilities include processing weekly payroll and administering the hotel accounts payable process. The ideal candidate for this position is detail oriented and a meticulously organized team player who possesses a positive, problem-solving attitude.
Primary Responsibilities:
• Ensure invoices get into the accounting system by administering the process to ensure all stakeholders are performing processes as trained.
• Managing Daily Income Audits; Reconciling Rooms Revenue, F&B revenue, Guest Laundry Valet revenue, Parking Valet revenue and all included in Miscellaneous revenue in the P&L. This is to ensure that all revenues are recorded, and all payments are applied accordingly.
• Audit and reconcile all applicable Taxes; NYS Sales tax 8.875%, NYS Javits Tax $1.50/night; NYC Tax of 5.875% and NYC Occ tax per night $2.00. These taxes are captured and in Line with the revenue.
• Manage weekly reviews as needed with F&B managers on various discrepancies with Micros reporting and other reporting. This is to ensure all F&B revenue is captured accordingly.
• Manage weekly meetings as needed with Front desk managers on various issued with allowance, discrepancies of Parking Valet, Guest Laundry, Limousine revenues and other miscellaneous revenues in P&L.
• Manage Accounts Payable (AP) daily. This is to ensure, Purchases Orders in Coupa interfacing with Sage and all invoices are posted correctly. This is to ensure all AP invoices are correct and payment is done correctly in SAGE.
• Prepare AP invoices to be accrued at the end of the month. This is to ensure all expenses in the month and for the month are captured and reported in P&L.

• Prepare AP invoices and post them in SAGE.
• Process weekly payroll to ensure that corporate payroll gets the files in a timely manner to process payroll.
• Utilizes interpersonal and communication skills to lead, influence, and encourage others; advocates sound financial/business decision making; demonstrates honesty/integrity; leads by example.
• Ensures that regular on-going communication occurs with team members to create awareness of business objectives, communicate expectations, and recognize performance.
• Coordinate interactions with other Finance Team as required.
• Assist with Balance Sheet reconciliations.
• Assist with any other Accounts Receivables and credit tasks as assigned.
• Establishes and maintains open, collaborative relationships with team members
• Generates and provides accurate and timely results in the form of reports, presentations, etc.
• Analyzes information and evaluates results to choose the best solution and solve problems.
• Compiles, codes, categorizes, calculates, tabulates, audits, or verifies information or data.
• Ensures compliance with standard and local operating procedures (SOPs and LSOPs).
• Ensures property permits, licenses and if applicable vendor contracts are current.
• Demonstrates knowledge of job-relevant issues, products, systems, and processes.
• Keeps up-to-date technically and applying new knowledge to your job.
• Submits reports in a timely manner, ensuring delivery deadlines.
• Additional duties as assigned by manager.
Qualifications:
• 4-year bachelor’s degree in finance and accounting or related major preferred
• Minimum Two years of experience with finance functions in a full-service hotel.
• Ability to exercise judgment in evaluating situations and in making sound decisions
• Leadership and organizational skills (team orientation, flexible, adaptable)
• Organizational skills and attention to detail
• Excellent communication skills both written and oral.
• Excellent time management
• Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment
• Experience with payroll processing preferred
• A can-do attitude and a hands-on approach
