Software Engineer

Job Description:

This position is a hybrid role (3x per week onsite) that will be based at our headquarters in Fremont, California.

Here is a glimpse of the kind of tasks we have for software development interns

• Develop stand alone web design applications to support Nextracker core design applications

• Participate in regular scrum planning, take on front and back-end development tasks to develop web based applications

• Research state of the art software development practices for solar design applications

• Implement new features to our core web applications

• Refactor existing software libraries written by the team to improve their quality and reusability

• Create tools to improve the quality of the data we process

• Automate tasks through appropriate tools and scripting

• Review and debug code

• Ensure software is up-to-date with the latest technologies

Here Is Some Of What You’ll Need (required)

• Solid programming skills, algorithms and data structures

• Software design skills

• Being in your senior year of Computer Science or Software Engineering bachelor’s degree

• Analytical mind with problem-solving aptitude

• Ability to work independently

Here Are a Few Of Our Preferred Experiences

• Knowledge of modern, common purpose programming languages like Java, Go, C++ or Python

• UI development languages, like Angular

• Experience with a SQL DB, GoLang is a plus

• Being in your senior years as a Master student of Computer Science or Software Engineering is a big plus

• Previous experience (1+ years) in a software industry is big plus

Salary in CA: $120,000-$135,000
