Senior SAP SD/MM Functional Lead

Operating globally, our 6000+ specialists provide a full spectrum of services, including business and tech advisory, enterprise solutions, CX, UX and Ul design, managed services, product development, and software development. <br/></p><p><strong><em>This is the job</em></strong><br/></p><p>Our client is a leading telecommunications operator undergoing a large-scale ERP transformation while continuing to evolve its existing SAP ECC landscape.</p><p>We're looking for a <strong>Senior SAP SD/MM Lead</strong> who will take ownership of the SAP SD/MM backlog, shape business demand into well-defined functional solutions, and ensure that today's SAP ECC changes remain aligned with tomorrow's ERP strategy.</p><p>You'll work at the intersection of business and technology, collaborating with multiple business domains and development teams while playing a key role in prioritization, solution design, and governance.</p><p><strong><em>This is the team</em></strong><em><br/></em></p><p>You'll become part of an experienced cross-functional team responsible for the continuous development and maintenance of the client's SAP SD/MM landscape.</p><p>Working closely with business stakeholders, architects, developers, and the ERP transformation programme, you'll drive functional analysis, backlog management, and solution design across Customer Operations, Supply Chain, Enterprise, Mass Market, and Network Technology domains.</p><p>This role offers significant ownership and influence over how business initiatives are translated into scalable SAP solutions.<br/><strong><em><br/>This is you</em></strong></p><ul><li><p>Extensive hands-on experience with <strong>SAP ECC SD/MM</strong> in highly customized enterprise environments</p></li><li><p>Strong business analysis skills with the ability to gather requirements, analyse business processes, and prepare detailed functional specifications</p></li><li><p>Experience managing or owning product backlogs, prioritization, or demand management</p></li><li><p>Ability to challenge business requirements and guide stakeholders toward the most appropriate solution</p></li><li><p>Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills</p></li><li><p>Experience working with Agile delivery teams</p></li><li><p>Strong documentation and process modelling skills</p></li></ul><p>Nice-to-have skills:</p><ul><li><p>Experience with <strong>SAP S/4HANA</strong> or ERP transformation programmes</p></li><li><p>Understanding of ERP migration strategies and transition planning</p></li><li><p>Experience reviewing development estimates and supporting backlog refinement</p></li><li><p>Experience in the telecommunications industry</p></li></ul><p><strong><em>This is your role</em></strong></p><ul><li><p>Own and manage the SAP SD/MM backlog from initial intake through refinement and delivery</p></li><li><p>Collaborate with business stakeholders to analyse requirements and define functional solutions</p></li><li><p>Translate business needs into clear, development-ready functional specifications and process documentation</p></li><li><p>Evaluate change requests against the existing SAP ECC landscape and future ERP transformation roadmap</p></li><li><p>Prioritize incoming work, balancing new initiatives with operational support and incident resolution</p></li><li><p>Facilitate backlog refinement and ensure work items meet the team's Definition of Ready</p></li><li><p>Maintain functional documentation and ensure solution consistency across the SAP landscape</p></li><li><p>Review solution proposals and development estimates while supporting delivery governance</p></li></ul><p> </p><p><strong><em>What awaits you at Avenga?</em></strong></p><p><em><br/>At Avenga, everyone matters.
