As a Fleet & Safety Director on the Mr. Rooter Corporately Owned Operations team, a typical day for you will include:

  • Oversee the maintenance, tracking and utilization of all company vehicles. 
  • Develop and implement fleet policies and procedures to enhance operational efficiency. 
  • Analyze fleet performance data to identify trends and areas for improvement.  
  • Design, implement and manage comprehensive safety programs across the organization.  
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local safety regulations related to fleet operations. 
  • Conduct regular safety audits and risk assessments to identify potential hazards. 
  • Develop and deliver training programs for employees on safe driving practices and vehicle maintenance.  
  • Foster a safety-first culture by engaging employees through workshops, seminars, and ongoing education.  
  • Collaborate with executives, legal, compliance, HR, and operations to align fleet and safety goals with overall business strategy. 
  • Partner with HRBP in regard to safety and fleet training and any disciplinary actions.  
  • Prepare and manage the budget for fleet operations and safety initiatives.

(Required qualifications)

  • Experience: Minimum 4 years' experience in fleet and safety  
  • Skills:
    • Strong knowledge of DOT regulations 
    • Experience with GPS tracking and telematics systems 
    • Excellent organizational skills with a strong attention to detail 
    • Expertise in OSHA regulations and compliance 
    • This role may require occasional travel to job sites/vendor locations 
  • Education: Associates degree required. Bachelor's degree in business management or a related field preferred.

  • Competitive Pay: The US base salary range for this full-time position is $100,000-$110,000. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location, and the range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations.  Within the range, individual pay is determined by work, location, role-related knowledge and skills, depth of experience, relevant education or training, and additional role-related considerations.
