Air Liquide Engineering & Construction builds the Group’s production units - mainly air gas separation and renewable and low carbon hydrogen production units - and provides external customers with efficient, sustainable, customised technology and process solutions. We work hand-in-hand with our customers, covering the entire project life cycle, to design the solutions that contribute to the quality of their products and the growth of their business, while optimising efficiency and reducing the environmental footprint.We are currently recruiting for a "Sales & Business Development Manager UK" to join Air Liquide's Engineering and Construction (E&C) business on a permanent basis. The newly build role plays a key position in line with E&C Europe's mission to deliver fully integrated, safe and reliable process solutions.
Based in Birmingham, UK this role will be responsible for identifying business opportunities and manage the Order Intake of third party projects (TPS) within its area of responsibility.
Your tasks will include the following
Defining and implementing the “Winning Strategy”, preparing and updating the corresponding document for each prospect.
Deciding the pricing strategy to be offered and setting the target price and challenging the cost structure
Proposing the OI target for its area of responsibility
Implementing resources to support the E&C sales strategy and OI
Identifying potential clients and prospects within the competence geographical areas
Developing in coordination with Marketing team, a network within clients’ organisations and decrypt decision making processes
Responsible to establish and maintain a winning strategy for each project in the territory further to keep CRM up to date
Preparing documentation and presenting the prospect to the opportunity review meeting and to the Selection Committee
Identifying in coordination with Marketing and Communication, local conferences/events to promote AL products and developing networks
Promoting and organising events with clients (workshops, client days etc..)
Deliver to Marketing and Product Line, client and market feedback on products, pricing levels and local market trends to challenge & validate product development strategy

Are you a MATCH?
BSc degree or above in Chemical engineering or relevant degree
Experience in Engineering activities related to technology, project and onsite services
Sales experience in either Cryo/ Energy conversion , Chemical or Metal industries
Familiar with Cryo including Air Separation technology or Lurgi technology
Good understanding of local market, know the customers and competitors well
Good understanding of local business, know well to related trade terms and regulation
Familiar with project management and project execution in Cryo or in Lurgi
