This role offers a unique chance to shape strategy, lead high-performing teams, and strengthen relationships with key stakeholders. You will drive growth while ensuring patients benefit from Medtronic’s innovative therapies. Based in-country, the role requires close collaboration with local, cluster, and regional teams. Frequent travel is expected to engage stakeholders and support business development.<p></p><p><b>Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned:</b></p><ul><li>Lead the country organization to achieve short- and long-term P&amp;L objectives and ensure operational efficiency</li><li>Represent Medtronic with key clinical and non-clinical stakeholders, including government, regulators, and healthcare providers</li><li>Shape and execute the country go-to-market strategy, translating cluster objectives into local plans for Sales, Marketing, Market Development, and Commercial Organizational Development</li><li>Identify opportunities to improve therapy access and market share through innovation, contracting, and new business models, including pursuing cross-portfolio sales and Integrated Health Solutions (IHS) opportunities</li><li>Drive improvements in market access and funding, ensuring alignment with regulatory and compliance standards</li><li>Manage distributor contracts and renewals while optimizing local infrastructure and functional support in coordination with regional leadership</li><li>Partner in talent management processes to hire, develop, and retain a high-performing team, while supporting organizational planning and coaching</li></ul><p></p><p><b>Required Knowledge and Experience:</b></p><ul><li>University degree in Business, Sciences, or a related discipline; MBA or Master’s in Business/Economics preferred</li><li>Advanced knowledge in sales, business development, and leadership to manage cross-functional teams across country or regional operations</li><li>Proven people management experience with a track record of building, motivating, and developing high-performing teams</li><li>Strong technical and professional knowledge within the context of a complex organization</li><li>Willingness and ability to travel 50%+ of the time, including at short notice and flexibility to work occasional out-of-office hours </li><li>Fluency in English and Romanian </li></ul><p></p><p></p><p><b>Physical Job Requirements</b><br/><br/>The above statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by employees assigned to this position, but they are not an exhaustive list of all the required responsibilities and skills of this position. </p><p></p><h1><b>Benefits &amp; Compensation</b></h1><p><b>Medtronic offers a competitive Salary and flexible Benefits Package</b><br/>A commitment to our employees lives at the core of our values.
