Underground Maintenance Supervisor (Third Shift)

Job Purpose and Impact

 

The Underground Maintenance Supervisor (Third Shift), will supervise the management and control of maintenance, within the organization. In this role, you will oversee a team that executes tactical activities to meet the area strategies.

Key Accountabilities

 

• Plan and prioritize material and obsolescence management as well as maintain condition strategies to provide operational effectiveness.
• Execute storeroom processes associated with receiving, inventory and dispatching for both internal and external locations.
• Collaborate with vendors and contract adherence related to maintenance repair and operations stores activities.
• Ensure all maintenance repair and operations materials are in optimum conditions.
• Improve collaborations with maintenance processes for smooth work management integration.
• Provide feedback on process and continuous improvement activities.
• Responsible for performance and disciplinary actions for your direct reports.
• Other duties as assigned. 

Position Information.

 

• This position is posted internally as well as externally. 
• Relocation assistance will be provided for this position.
• This position is located in Cleveland, Ohio. 
• The work schedule is: (third Shift) Monday – Friday from 10:30 PM to 7-8:00 AM. There are also some events that might need to work on the weekends and on call. 

 

Qualifications

 

Minimum Qualifications

 

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field OR equivalent experience. 
• Minimum one year of directly related work experience. 
• Minimum of three years of underground mining experience. 

 

Preferred Qualifications

 

• Lean Six Sigma knowledge, training or certification. 
• Knowledge of safety principles and methodologies. 
• Operations planning, safety and quality ownership. 
• One year of supervisory experience. 
• Experience with SAP system. 
• Knowledge with Microsoft Office (Excel, word, Outlook, Power Point, Teams, etc.). 
• Ability and willingness to obtain an ATF (Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms) possessors license.
