Job Purpose and Impact
The Underground Maintenance Supervisor (Third Shift), will supervise the management and control of maintenance, within the organization. In this role, you will oversee a team that executes tactical activities to meet the area strategies.
Key Accountabilities
- Plan and prioritize material and obsolescence management as well as maintain condition strategies to provide operational effectiveness.
- Execute storeroom processes associated with receiving, inventory and dispatching for both internal and external locations.
- Collaborate with vendors and contract adherence related to maintenance repair and operations stores activities.
- Ensure all maintenance repair and operations materials are in optimum conditions.
- Improve collaborations with maintenance processes for smooth work management integration.
- Provide feedback on process and continuous improvement activities.
- Responsible for performance and disciplinary actions for your direct reports.
- Other duties as assigned.
Position Information.
- This position is posted internally as well as externally.
- Relocation assistance will be provided for this position.
- This position is located in Cleveland, Ohio.
- The work schedule is: (third Shift) Monday – Friday from 10:30 PM to 7-8:00 AM. There are also some events that might need to work on the weekends and on call.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field OR equivalent experience.
- Minimum one year of directly related work experience.
- Minimum of three years of underground mining experience.
Preferred Qualifications
- Lean Six Sigma knowledge, training or certification.
- Knowledge of safety principles and methodologies.
- Operations planning, safety and quality ownership.
- One year of supervisory experience.
- Experience with SAP system.
- Knowledge with Microsoft Office (Excel, word, Outlook, Power Point, Teams, etc.).
- Ability and willingness to obtain an ATF (Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms) possessors license.
