Job Description

We are looking for our client's service IT Infrastructure (solution) Architect. This contingent worker will act as single point of contact between Server team, the different IT departments, and our business partners for new requests/projects.

• Will do the technical intake of new requests (or projects) and will propose an architecture/solution in collaboration with the IT domain experts.
• Will propose the best suitable hosting solution (on-prem/cloud (Azure) for applications taking into account security, availability, possibilities of data transfer and cost.
• Will be part of the project team for new projects (project work will be done by the project leads).
• Will act as single point of contact between Server Team, the different IT departments and our business partners for new requests/projects.
• Will do the follow up of environments with special regulations and requirements.
• Will assist on technical decisions for the IT operations department.
• Will compare the business requirements with the client's  IT standards and propose adaptations on either side where required.
• Will evaluate, follow-up and advise on new IT technologies.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as infrastructure (solution) architect (at least 5-7 years)
• Computer science degree, training as a specialist for system integration or a comparable education.
• Should be familiar with following IT infrastructure services: Active directory, databases (Oracle, MS SQL, Mongodb),Storage, Virtualization (ESX) , Windows Server , Linux Redhat, MS Azure(cloud), Data exchange platforms (RabbitMQ, Redis cache), RDP solutions (Citrix ), containerized solutions , networking concepts, …
• Must be able to communicate in English to people/stakeholders with different technical knowledge/background and ideally communicate fluent (oral) in Dutch or French. Speaking and understanding German is a plus.
• Broad general IT experience and competences
• Must have good analytical skills.
• Must have a security focused mind and a highly developed practical common sense.
• Must have good presentation skills.
• Must be able to work independently.
• Customer minded – team player.
• Able and willing to learn new products-environments quickly.
• Must be accountable and is NOT a 9 to 5 worker.
• Must have a car + driver license and a mobile phone.

Additional Information

• Work regime: full-time
• Location: Schaerbeek (occasionally traveling might be required to Berlin)
