JOB TITLE: Clinical Services Supervisor

REPORTS TO: Clinical Director 

SCHEDULE: Wednesday-Saturday (9:00am-7:30pm)

LOCATION: Venice, CA 

STATUS: Full-Time, 40 hours/week, Exempt

CELL PHONE: Reimbursement     

DRIVER POSITION: Yes, please reference driving policy

SALARY RANGE: $70,000 – $80,000 annually

ABOUT THE ROLE:

The Clinical Services Supervisor is responsible for overseeing and developing SPY clinical programs and services, including contract compliance, grant outcomes measurement, providing substance and /or mental health counseling to youth and their families, overseeing behavioral health services, providing supervision and oversight to Clinical Case managers and Peer Support Specialists, and incorporating health and wellness support across SPY programs. This position requires an extremely perceptive and proactive person who is capable of relating to and working with individuals at all levels within the organization. The Clinical Services Supervisor will be sensitive to employee morale and SPY’s organizational needs, and will work closely with agency leaders and team members to support SPY’s mission and best practices. 


WHAT YOU’LL DO:

  • Oversee, grow, and develop sustainable high quality programming in alignment with SPY’s strategic plan and in collaboration with SPY leadership team, including continued growth in our Pregnant and Parenting and Substance Use Counseling programs. 
  • Provide direct supervision to Peer Support Specialists and Clinical Case Managers. 
  • Provide agency-wide training and consultation. 
  • Provide individual and group programming to transitional age youth utilizing trauma-informed and culturally sensitive models of care. 
  • Utilize ethical / legal and HIPAA standards of practice when providing group and individual clinical supervision. 
  • Provide ongoing timely feedback to supervisees and complete employee performance evaluation processes. 
  • Contribute to the financial management of the department, including managing expenses in alignment with programmatic budgets. 
  • Provide mediation and crisis intervention to youth; participate in on-call clinician rotation during drop-in center hours; oversee member accountability processes. 
  • Develop and manage community partnerships to ensure member access to comprehensive behavioral health, medical, and parenting resources. 
  • Provide written and verbal reports of how the program is functioning; represent Safe Place for Youth locally and nationally, as needed.
  • Complete and submit all required documentation, forms, and reports within designated timelines.
  • Serve in leadership team rotation to facilitate pre-brief and debrief meetings and opening and closing of the drop-in center. 
  • Conduct staff training and presentations as needed.
  • Additional ad-hoc duties as required for departmental and agency needs.

Requirements

WHAT YOU’LL NEED: 

  • Education & Licensure: CCAPP certification or Master’s degree in Social Work (MSW) preferred.
  • 2+ years experience providing direct care services with advanced skills in rapport building. 
  • Strong clinical and leadership skills. 
  • Supervisory experience preferred
