What you will be doing:

Do you want to reimagine how a Payments Network can be used to connect financial institutions and merchants?  This role is responsible for leading the product strategy for our Network business, inclusive of NYCE, Jeanie, PayNet and CULLIANCE, ensuring we effectively deliver on clients’ expectations in a highly competitive payments ecosystem while achieving commercial and product performance objectives. This leader will develop the strategy, prioritize our growth initiatives, then plan, budget, and manage the product investments to achieve that vision.   This includes building the business case for new products and existing product enhancements, then overseeing implementation.  This is a cross-discipline role that requires working with a range of technical and client facing executives then directly influencing activities across a broad set of functional areas.  

• Understands strategic direction of FIS, the Cards & Money Movement business segment and role of our Networks in supporting clients and other products and services.
• Maintains knowledge of emerging payment product innovative trends and utilizes knowledge to educate senior leaders on opportunities to build better product solutions that support and drive business growth and expansion.
• Manages a team of product analysts to provide leadership direction and guidance for NYCE and CULIANCE Networks as well as PayNet and related offerings such as surcharge free ATMs

• Develops and continually refines a strong, fact-based point of view on product direction for the Network business.
• Establishes priorities and product strategies consistent with business goals and economic viability. • Defines business requirements based on client feedback and payment industry trends to ensure competitive parity and for ideating and developing new features and/or new product offerings.

• Builds a strong product management team as the foundation for optimizing platform products.

• Recommends and incorporates product solutions into long-term business plans and evaluates the business impact through cost/benefit analysis.

• Collaborates on implementation plans that provide product owners and technical developers with appropriate frameworks and support infrastructure for seamless delivery of innovative products consistent with the product vision.

• In business development and sales situations, serves as a consultant and advisor to sales and senior leadership on the application of our payment Network offerings and how they fit into legacy and advanced payments offerings
• Champions introduction of new product assets that have an impact across the enterprise and effectively communicates strategic product plans.
• Directs requirements, resources, research, business case development and adoption among multiple functional groups and levels in the enterprise.

• Leads the definition of future product initiatives for development and deployment and defines the migration path from current to future product solutions.
• Provides leadership for creation and design standards for new products, frameworks and/or design paradigms maximizing reusability, flexibility and maintainability.
 

What you bring:

• Bachelor’s degree or the equivalent combination of education, training, or work experience.
• Knowledge of Network transaction routing and payments processing for issuer, issuer processor, acquirers and merchants
• Direct experience with management reporting, operational procedures and management information systems
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills that can address technical and non-technical audiences of various levels in the organization, e.g., executives, LOB management, and individual contributors
• Typically requires more than fifteen years of broad and progressively more responsible product strategy experience with at least seven years of experience managing large, strategic product development.

• Excellent decision-making, problem-solving, team-building, organization, negotiation, conflict management and time management skills
• Strong team coaching and mentoring skills
