ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Develop and implement a strategic vision for the global Enterprise Network Architecture team ensuring alignment with overall business goals.
- Lead a team of network architects globally, providing technical and leadership support
- Lead network engineering function in the US region including projects implementation and service transitioning to operations.
- Manage the architecture/design of the WAN, LAN. WLAN, DDI, observability/monitoring services. That includes the enhancements and improvements of these services with strong considerations for software-defined networking, network automation, netdevops and other new/emerging technologies
- Provide technical leadership and expertise in network service planning (including business case), design (high & low level), proof-of-concept and deployment
- Develop and maintain network policies and standards including network security policies and procedures
- Provide technical leadership and expertise in troubleshooting complex network related issues including P1 and P2 incidents
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement within the network services team.
- Collaborate with other IT departments and business units to understand and address their network needs
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
- 16+ years of experience in network administration and design, with a minimum of 5 years in a leadership role.
- Proven experience in managing and leading a team of network architects and engineers
- CCIE or equivalent certification
- In-depth knowledge of network protocols (TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, etc.), network security concepts, and network troubleshooting methodologies.
- Experience with network automation tools (Python, Ansible, etc.) and network management platforms (Cisco, Arista, Aruba, etc.) preferred.
- Strong understanding of cloud networking concepts (AWS VPC, GCP, Azure VNET, etc.) a plus.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
