ASEC is an international team that delivers actuarial systems used by Aviva business units around the world. The team is mainly focused on maintenance and development of in-house built tools that support actuarial calculations.

What will you be doing?

  • Develop, enhance, and maintain actuarial models using Snowflake, Python, Prophet, Tyche.

  • Lead the design and implementation of code changes, ensuring adherence to internal code standards and best practices.

  • Perform actuarial asset valuation analyses and clearly interpret and communicate conclusions.

  • Plan and own analyses and development activities within a defined business or technical area.

  • Implement and document coding solutions and key design decisions to ensure model owner and user expectations are fully met.

  • Act as a senior point of reference within the team, supporting less experienced colleagues where appropriate.

What we’re looking for?

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar analytical, actuarial, or coding-focused role.

  • Strong and adaptable coding skills in Python, Prophet, Tyche, or Snowflake (experience with multiple tools is a strong advantage).

  • Very good analytical skills with the ability to translate complex data into meaningful insights.

  • Excellent critical thinking and problem‑solving skills, with a structured and pragmatic approach.

  • Ability to plan and manage tasks within a project environment, including prioritisation and delivery ownership.

  • Solid knowledge of statistics and/or actuarial mathematics, with focus on asset valuation

  • Actuarial exams passed (or in progress) are considered a strong advantage.

  • Very good command of spoken and written English

  • Experience or interest in supporting of less experienced colleagues
