About the role
Harmonic Inc. in San Jose, CA seeks multiple Technical Sales. Responsibilities: This sales engineering role sells Harmonic’s Broadband technical solution portfolio to key client accounts and to Internet Service Providers (ISP) companies throughout Latin America. Duties include: developing market leadership in the nominated accounts in the defined territory by conducting direct sales strategy using the Harmonic Go-To-Market model; developing and implement long term customer account plans and short to medium term opportunity plans, based on client technical needs and system requirements; Preparing and delivering technical product presentations for new broadband opportunities for key accounts in Latin America; building and maintaining knowledge base of Harmonic’s broadband solutions and services; effectively utilizing sales resources and coordinating internal and external participation in tactical and strategies initiatives; responding to Request For Information/Request For Proposals, creating proposals, and developing Return Of Investment and Total Cost Ownership analysis; maintaining and updating sales pipeline and forecast tools; and other duties as assigned. Employee may be stationed anywhere in the continental U.S., but will report to headquarters in San Jose, California. Travel required 30% of the time. Salary range $160k - $190k. Education: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Network Engineering, or a related field (or foreign equivalent). Requirements:
- 2 years of experience in the job offered or related positions.
- 2 years of experience managing business accounts in the broadband market;
- 2 years of experience working with IP Networking, Cloud Architecture, DOCSIS, and Fiber-to-the-Home.
- 2 years of experience with supporting sales organizations; and
- 2 years of experience in responding to Requests for Proposal.
