Position Overview:

The Global Data Delivery Lead plays a pivotal role in transforming data into actionable insights that support strategic decision-making. This role is central to enabling data-driven culture across the organization, particularly in high-impact environments like Ascot Group, where data modernization and AI integration are strategic priorities. The ideal candidate should be hands-on with ETL tools like Databricks, BI development and visualization using Power BI. This position will report to Senior AI Data Program Manager and will be an in-office position on a hybrid work schedule. 

Responsibilities:
Data Integration & Architecture

  • Design and maintain robust data pipelines using ETL tools.
  • Integrate diverse data sources into a unified data warehouse or Lakehouse architecture in Databricks.
  • Support the transformation of raw data into conformed enterprise models and data schemas for reporting in Power BI.
  • Integrate Power BI with various data sources, including SQL Server, SharePoint, external APIs, Databricks.

BI Development & Visualization:

  • Develop and maintain data models, including DAX calculations, to support Power BI reports and dashboards.
  • Design and develop interactive power BI reports and dashboards using Power BI desktop.
  • Ensure semantic models are optimized for self-service analytics and paginated reporting.

Analytics & Insights:

  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to define KPIs and build analytical models.
  • Work closely with Group data office to execute on our unified global data delivery strategy as well as ensuring our data delivery pipelines are optimized for AI use cases.
  • Apply statistical and predictive modeling techniques to uncover trends and patterns.
  • Support AI-driven initiatives by preparing structured data for modeling and insights.

Governance & Quality:

  • Implement data quality rules and validation checks to ensure trusted reporting.
  • Participate in data governance initiatives to align with compliance and regulatory standards.

Collaboration:

  • Work closely with cross-functional teams including data stewards, architects, business analysts, data scientists and end users.
  • Provide technical guidance as applicable to junior/offshore resources.
  • Engage in stakeholder communication and triage data requests for prioritization.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, Business Analytics, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 7 years of experience in progressive data delivery and Power BI development.
  • Hands- on strong technical proficiency in SQL, data warehouse concepts and data integration techniques, with focus on Databricks.
  • Strong understanding of data platforms, analytics tools, and AI technologies, with the ability to resolve issues related to data and reporting.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively across all levels of the organization.
  • Knowledge of Power BI best practices for data modelling and reporting.
  • Knowledge on insurance business processes and terminologies including underwriting, claims, pricing, operations etc. preferred.
