Job Description

The Pool Server is a vital member of the service team, providing a warm welcome to all guests as they enter the pool area, selling and providing general Food & Beverage service to guests as well as creating an unforgettable experience at the pool with cabanas and other programming.  The Pool Server will be responsible for providing amenities to guests and ensuring the cleanliness and organization of the Pool areas.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Provide Food & Beverage service to guests in all lounges, tables and cabanas

• Ensure that all guests are greeted, feel welcome and are given responsive, professional, gracious service at all times

• Present the menu with helpful explanations and storytelling of dishes and beverages

• Serve drinks and food promptly and in accordance with the Auberge Standards

• Maintains clean and organized workstations that are cohesive with the restaurant's philosophy, culture and standards of excellence.

• Operate within the restaurant on a daily basis with efficiency, respect, friendliness, professionalism, teamwork, knowledge, patience, awareness, compassion, courtesy and initiative.

• Provides positive guest recognition and relations through personal performance and attention to guest history, including familiarizing himself/herself with regular patrons and VIP guests.

• Understand completely all programs, procedures, standards, specifications, guidelines and training programs.

• Displays consistent attention to detail and follow-through of all restaurant policies.

• Represents the restaurant professionally through effective communication, cooperation and relationships with all of the business partners and guests.

• Properly maintain strict standards of cleanliness in all dining areas 

• Properly maintain strict standards of cleanliness and organization of all service stations/areas 

Qualifications

• 1-2 years of service experience. Knowledge of service and food and beverage, generally involving at least 1-2  years of restaurant experience, service procedures, and functions.

• Cleanliness, organization and the ability to work well in a team situation are crucial to this position.

• Extensive food and wine knowledge.

• Must be of minimum age to serve alcohol.

• Applicants must possess a strong dedication toward learning and motivation to progress in a fine dining environment.

• Possess excellent basic math skills and have the ability to operate a modern POS system.

• Must be impeccably groomed, maintain good hygiene, good posture and have required uniform and tools.

• Responsive to constructive feedback from Chefs, Managers or other staff.

• Food Handlers Certification or equivalent

• Responsible Beverage certification

• Must be able to be on their feet and outdoors for extended periods of time

• Prior luxury hotel experience preferred.

$16.00/hour
