Job Description, Role and Duties

  • Our Licensed Mental Health Therapist complete Facilitation of the Adolescent Intensive Outpatient group therapy program (IOP) Monday through Friday from 5pm to 7pm.
    1. The typical schedule for this position would be 10am to 7pm.
  • Licensed Mental Health Therapist Provide the following case management services for members of the IOP.
    1. Contacting providers outside of Exult that have either referred or treat group members for coordination of care regularly and as needed.
    2. Treatment planning and discharge planning.
    3. Assisting in curriculum development and review as needed.
  • Psychotherapy services in line with the providers licensure requirements and limitations.
    1. In addition to the 10 hours of direct client facing time from the Adolescent IOP the provider is expected to hold an average 20 sessions per week of individual or family/relational therapy. This may include family therapy sessions for members of the adolescent IOP.
  • Assessment of bio-psycho-social needs and treatment coordination for new clients/patients.
  • Ensuring the proper care of clients as mandated by the provider’s ethical guidelines and in coordination with other treating professionals be attending weekly treatment team meetings.
  • Ensuring proper and timely documentation of services provided.
    1. The provider is to use only the agency-provided tools/programs/forms for documentation unless prior approval is gained from the clinical director and/or medical director.
    2. Documentation of services provided should be completed within 24 hours of the service rendered and no later than 72 hours.
    3. Treatment plans must be approved by the client/patient or their guardian and must be updated every 30 days.
  • Licensed Mental Health Therapist that provide group facilitation services must obtain coverage for group sessions before taking time away from the practice. In urgent/emergency scenarios the clinical director will be responsible for this. If a provider is unable to obtain coverage the clinical director should be asked for assistance.
  • Other administrative duties as needed and assigned by the administrative team if the provider is falling short of 40 hours of work in a week. Assignments must be in-line with the provider’s knowledge, skillset, and comfort zone.

Requirements

Preferred Experience

  • Past work with group therapy modalities
  • Past work with adolescents and the ability to strongly connect with adolescents.
  • Working knowledge of family systems theory, dialectical behavior therapy, and cognitive behavior therapy.
  • background of treating diverse issues, but primarily those affecting rural areas who is capable of connecting with people in that area.
  • be very self-motivated as you won’t be in our main office frequently.
  • provider with a full license would be more in-line with this role.
  • The provider would also have the opportunity to see between 14-16 clients a week.
