About the Team:

The Data Lake team is at the heart of Walmart/VIZIO's data strategy, focused on creating a robust and scalable data infrastructure. Our mission is to provide actionable insights that drive business growth and efficiency. As a Data Engineer III, you will play a crucial role in building and maintaining data pipelines, ensuring data quality, and supporting the company's data-driven initiatives.

What You’ll Do:

• Design and implement ETL processes for data integration.
• Manage and optimize data pipelines for analytics and operational use.
• Develop scalable data architectures using cloud services like AWS.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements.
• Ensure data quality and governance across the data lifecycle.

What You’ll Bring:

• Proficiency in Python, PySpark, SQL, and/or Scala.
• Experience with relational SQL and NoSQL databases.
• Strong understanding of in-memory processing and data formats (Avro, Parquet, JSON).
• Hands-on experience with AWS cloud services (EC2, MSK, S3, RDS, SNS, SQS).
• Knowledge of big data tools (Hadoop, Spark, Kafka) and stream-processing systems (Storm, Spark-Structured-Streaming, Kafka consumers).
