THE VENUE

As a new addition in our fastest growing business vertical, Legends designed, built, and operates Sky View Observatory (“SVO”), an innovative guest experience on the 73rd floor of the Columbia Center located in Downtown Seattle. Breathtaking 360-degree panoramic views include Mt. Rainier, Bellevue, the Cascade Mountains, Mt. Baker, Elliott Bay, the Olympic Mountains, the Space Needle and much more.

THE ROLE

The Group Sales Account Executive is responsible for generating revenue through the sale of group tickets to key markets, including tourism, student travel, corporate, and social organizations. This role focuses on outbound sales efforts, relationship management, and strategic partnerships to drive group attendance and grow revenue within the Seattle market. The ideal candidate is resourceful and innovative, a creative dealmaker with an entrepreneurial spirit and partnership-oriented mindset.

ESSENTIAL DUTES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop and manage a portfolio of group clients, including tour operators, school groups, corporations, and event planners.
  • Prospect and cold call new business opportunities to meet and exceed sales targets.
  • Achieve monthly & yearly ticket and revenue targets set forth by Group Sales Manager & Director of Sales.
  • Conduct site visits, attend trade shows, and represent Sky View Observatory at networking events to build industry relationships.
  • Prepare proposals, negotiate rates, and close group sales deals.
  • Work closely with the operations and events teams to ensure seamless group experience.
  • Maintain accurate records in CRM and provide regular reporting on sales performance and pipeline.
  • Collaborate with marketing on promotional materials and special offers for group markets.
  • Stay current with industry trends and competitor offerings.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by Management.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE     

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, hospitality, marketing or a related field.
  • 2-4 years of experience in group sales, preferably in attractions, tourism, hospitality, or event sales.

SKILLS AND ABILITIES

  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales goals.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship building skills.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple accounts simultaneously.
  • Proficiency in CRM systems (Salesforce preferred) and Microsoft Office.
  • Willingness to work evenings, weekends, or holidays as needed.

COMPENSATION

Competitive hourly pay up to $26.00 commensurate with experience, and a generous benefits package that includes medical, dental, vision, life and disability insurance, paid vacation, and 401k plan.
