Validation Lab Intern - Automotive HVAC Testing (Summer '25)

SUMMARY

Build and Mount Evac & Fill Test Instrumentation.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Design and build stand for evac and fill instrumentation for PTC area.

• Determine stand fixturing for easier operation, movement, and storage.

• Ensure plumbing is leak free and utilize SS lines and solid mounting for gauges and pressure regulators.

• Procure required parts for the stand & assemble it. Write POs and create a drawing/documentation of finished design.

• Learn various PTC tests for validation of Engine/BEV thermal management.

• Learn and utilize data acquisition units in the lab (Gantner).

• Learn various HVAC tests for validation of an HVAC module.

QUALIFICATIONS 

• Must be enrolled in a 4-year accredited University

  • Major: Mechanical or Electrical Engineering 

  • Class Standing: Sophomore or Junior 

• Skills: Completed course work in fluids, heat transfer, electrical basics, communication, PC experience is preferred 

• Prior internship experience is a plus 

• Overall GPA must be a 3.0 or higher
