Howmet Aerospace’s Wichita Falls, TX facility has an opening for Wax A Operator.
MUST BE ABLE TO WORK 12 HOUR ROTATING NIGHT SHIFTS, 7:00 P.M TO 7:00 A.M. (2 on 2 off, 3 on 2 off, 2 on 3 off)
Must be willing to work overtime.
Pay rate begins at $21.27 and tops out at $26.40

JOB SUMMARY
Wax “A” operators are responsible for the following skills: pattern inspection, pattern sub-assembly, mold assembly, including gating into finished molds, pinner/robot, engraving, 35 Ton/50 Ton/ET-50/SI-250 injection. Wax “B” injectors will have a minimum of 90 days to complete Wax “B” cell training. Wax “B” cell operators will have a minimum of 90 days to complete Wax “B” injector training. Trainees must successfully complete written and practical assessment of skills/knowledge at end of skills training.
*Previous qualified internal employees may interview for Wax “A” position if training record supports required job specifications. If chosen, the operator will go through refresher training. Once complete, operator will move from Operator “B” status to Operator “A” status.
Level 1 (Trainee) 0-45 Days
Level 2-Consists of 45-Day performance review and hands-on practical evaluation.
-Injection practical evaluation consists of review of pattern produced during 4-hour block of time in cell. Operator evaluated on pattern quality, productivity, adherence to standard work and work instructions. Evaluation conducted by wax trainer or wax process owner. Operator must receive acceptable ratings in all areas of performance review to be eligible for practical evaluation. Operator must maintain an efficiency of 90% and have no more than three quality discussions.
-Cell practical evaluation consists of review of molds produced during 4-hour block of time in cell. Operator evaluated on mold quality, productivity, adherence to standard work and work instructions. Evaluation conducted by wax trainer or wax process owner. Operator must receive acceptable ratings in all areas of performance review to be eligible for practical evaluation. Operator must maintain an efficiency of 90% and have no more than three quality discussions.
When all criteria complete, move to Level 2.
Level 2 Minimum 45 Days
Level 3 Evaluation-Consists of 90-Day performance review and hands-on practical evaluation. Operator must receive acceptable ratings in all areas of performance review to be eligible for practical evaluation. Practical evaluation consists of review of performance following two 4-hour blocks. Evaluation is to be conducted by the Wax Process Owner or Wax Trainer. Operator must demonstrate a 95% performance efficiency and have no more than three quality/productivity discussions within the last 45 days.
If all aspects of evaluation are successful, raise to Level 3.
Level 3 Minimum 90 Days
Max Pay Upon Qualification
The “A” operator is fully skilled at inspection, injection, assembly, pinner/robot, engraving. The “A” operator must continue to meet quality and productivity requirements to maintain max pay.
