Area:

Purchase to Pay Services Americas (P2P) is part of the Supplier and Reporting (GBR) cluster and includes Procurement and Accounts Payable E2E Services for the entire Americas region. In P2P, we are responsible for acquiring goods and services, up to the payment stage. Our area is responsible for processing plant demands and paying invoices on time to avoid delays in the production process. Everything necessary for a chemical plant to operate is acquired by P2P: chemicals, reagents, gloves, food, etc.

 

Main Objective of the Position:

Provide operational support to our internal clients assisting the Buyers in BASF's commercial strategy and in the management of their portfolio with an E2E vision of the process (procurement-finance).

 

Main Tasks:

• Ensure technical goods and services supply under scope, according to the P2P global guidelines, for the NA region
• Support internal business partners with purchase order creation, monitoring and confirmation process, ensuring they are routed to the correct channels
• Works with a Virtual Team in collaboration with finance, ensuring the E2E process is efficient and smooth, focusing on main indicators to ensure deliveries and payments on time.
• Be first level contact and the reference for the site, to handle P2P issues (troubleshooting)
• Excellent planning and prioritization skills with a strong sense of urgency
• Create synergies and develop solutions based on stakeholder’s interaction
• Support the implementation of local, regional, and global projects, including Merges & Acquisitions
• Ensure know-how transfer when needed and steering of trainings for newcomers
• Contribute with own ideas to continuous improvement and digitalization
• Have an active role in performance feedback of team members

 

Minimum Education and Qualification Requirements for the Position:

• Education | Graduate of Public Accounting, Business Administration, International Business or related fields.
• Work Experience | 3 - 5 years of experience in the area of procurement and payments.
• Languages | Advanced level of English proficiency in both oral and written communication.
• Technical Skills | Knowledge of SAP will be highly valued.
• Soft Skills | Teamwork, customer orientation, collaborating for achievement, effective communication, analytical skills, and a strong focus on innovation.
