QA Automation Lead

As a Lead QA at Parser, you will be responsible for developing software solutions using various technologies, contributing to all phases of the development lifecycle.

Being a Lead QA goes beyond testing; it involves championing quality throughout the entire lifecycle to prevent defects and create reliable systems. We advocate for continuous testing—not just at the end—and emphasize that quality is a shared responsibility. As subject matter experts, we guide teams in critically evaluating all aspects of delivery, including security, performance, accessibility, and usability.

The impact you'll make

• Advocate for best practices across disciplines, fostering a quality mindset within the whole engineering area.
• Lead refinement sessions, covering details like acceptance tests, risks, and monitoring.Review requirements to identify gaps, risks, and dependencies.
• Ensure automation test frameworks are relevant, efficient, and resilient.
  
• Collaborate with the team to find the root cause of issues.
• Pair with engineers across teams to ensure adequate test coverage during development.
• Help the team estimate test efforts and dependencies during planning.
• Create a collaborative environment where quality is a team effort.

Skills and Experience:

• A strong advocate of modern QA processes in large-scale web environments.
• Clear communication of complex technical concepts.
• Ability to assess and recommend third-party tools.
• Experience with BDD test frameworks, such as Spock.
• Familiarity with CDC testing tools like PACT.
• Knowledge of Automation using Java, and Selenium (must)
  

Nice to have:

• Kafka, Groovy, Couchbase, and similar technologies.
• Experience in coaching engineers in test automation.
• Team management
