Aurora Medical Center-Grafton is recruiting a Registered Nurse to join our Ortho Day Surgery, with PACU team. The department typically operates Monday-Friday 0530-1930. The team works 8-hour shifts and will include variable start times ranging 0530 or 0900/1000. Must be flexible to work variety of start and end times. There is no call, no weekends and no holidays.

We are willing to consider .8 to .9 for this position.

ACLS and PALS required within 6 months of hire. ICU/PACU experience preferred.

As an RN working on the Ortho Day Surgery/PACU, you will be involved in Pre-op PACU and discharge of patients going home same day. Procedures such as carpal tunnel, ACL, knee or hip scopes, total knee or hips, fractures are just a few of the procedures. Major Responsibilities:

• Uses the nursing process to assess the needs of the patient, plan and implement individualized interventions and evaluate the effectiveness of the plan of care. Includes the patient and family in planning and implementing care and develops and maintains a therapeutic relationship throughout the healthcare continuum.
