We are looking for an analyst who is value driven and passionate about creating robust data frameworks to provide accurate and insightful connections for our finance and revenue accounting departments.

As the lead finance analyst and subject matter expert in finance data, the candidate will have an unique opportunity to partner with our Finance and Revenue Account teams  as well as product and data engineering, to define and drive the architecture and the business reporting of financial data

You will be responsible for developing models, queries, data visualizations, and dashboards that answer finance questions, making sure they function as designed, and are delivered on time. Senior Analysts are expected to guide junior analysts, especially during code review and query design.

What you’ll do

• Partner with Finance to define company-wide finance reporting metrics and KPIs for board decks, executive reports, and finance related KPIs from the engineering departments.
• Design and create accurate finance models in dbt to allow for exploration and projections.
• Demonstrate a solid understanding of ecommerce finance, from the individual transactions of a customer to the monthly billing and reconciliation at the company level.
• Demonstrate strong understanding of eCommerce business data model and SQL skills to draw connections between business outcome and trending behaviors. 
• Work independently to find creative solutions to difficult problems, and disseminate findings to stakeholders.
• Work with salesforce engineers to help align financial data with business operations.
• Consistently demonstrate a willingness to lean in as needed when duty calls.
• Be a point of contact with engineering teams and manage multiple projects.
• Communicate priorities and updates clearly through Slack, email, and on video calls.

What you'll bring

• 5+ years of analytical experience in fast paced environments
• 3+ years of experience in financial modeling or billing
• 3+ years experience developing and operating within snowflake and a visualization tool (Looker, Tableu, etc)
• Strong statistical experience looking at the efficiency of financial strategies (A/B testing, etc.)
• Expert in translating data findings to broader audiences, including non-data stakeholders, engineering, and executive leadership to maximize impact
• Experience in dimensional modeling in dbt or Azure
• Ability to demonstrate some expertise in Python or R 
• Ability to demonstrate high self-sufficiency to take on complex problems in a timely manner
• Consistently navigates ambiguous technical and business requirements while making flexible technical decisions
• Consistently delivers technically challenging tasks efficiently with quality, speed, and simplicity
• Payments and/or ecommerce experience preferred
