What will you be doing?

The Executive Compensation Leader will be a seasoned subject matter expert and will serve as the key thought leader in the design, development, implementation, and administration of Circana’s global executive compensation programs. The Leader will be attuned to the strategic goals of the Company, external market trends, and evolving legal and regulatory requirements to shape the Company’s executive compensation programs. The Leader will have extensive experience with external reporting, managing complex long-term incentive plans, and navigating the unique challenges of a fast-growing, evolving company.

The Executive Compensation Leader will report to the EVP, Global Total Rewards and will be an integral member of the Total Rewards Leadership Team.

Job Responsibilities

  • Lead the design, implementation, and administration of executive compensation programs, including short-term incentives, long-term incentives, equity plans, and executive benefits, in partnership with the Total Rewards Leadership Team.
  • Collaborate with the broader HR team, as well as the Finance, Legal, and Investor Relations teams to ensure compliance with relevant legal, regulatory, and accounting conventions and requirements impacting executive compensation arrangements.
  • Assess the effectiveness of executive compensation programs and their alignment with company goals and shareholders.
  • Lead efforts related to executive compensation reporting requirements.
  • Engage with internal and external stakeholders, including the Compensation Committee, and executives to gather feedback and address concerns related to executive compensation.
  • Lead efforts in establishing the executive compensation benchmarking peer group, and conduct market analysis and benchmarking to ensure competitive and equitable compensation practices.
  • Model and track equity utilization through compensation programs, plan the timing and approach to future share replenishments, and lead coordination among HR team, Finance, Legal, and the Compensation Committee in monitoring and administering the share pool.
  • Working with EVP, Global Total Rewards, manage the Compensation Committee agenda. Ensure annual processes properly support disposition of Committee responsibilities and supports Company agendas.
  • Prepare meeting material for the Compensation Committee. Ensure material is accurate, complete, and prepared on a timely basis.
  • Advise on rewards-related issues, including executive severance, change-in-control activities, employment contracts, M&A due diligence and plan design/harmonization post transaction, changes in business structure, pay governance and board remuneration.
  • Advise on governance-related issues such as share ownership guidelines, claw back policy, insider trading policy (including coordination with Legal), and anti-hedging and anti-pledging policies.
  • Manage the communication strategy for executive compensation, ensuring clear and effective messaging to program participants and stakeholders.
  • Provide guidance and support for executive compensation-related queries from executives and HR Business Partners.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 12 years of executive compensation experience, including designing and implementing global executive compensation programs.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with senior leadership and the Compensation Committee.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present complex compensation concepts to senior executives, the Board, and other stakeholders.
  • Experience managing and collaborating with external vendors and advisors: compensation consul
