Job Description

HII Mission Technologies is seeking a Program Analyst (Project Management Analyst 1) to come join our team supporting an outstanding CONUS based Department of Defense customer and an awesome close-knit geographically dispersed team.

 

The Program Analyst 1 will support the Program Management team under the Joint Network Engineering and Emerging Operations (J-NEEO) effort with contracting, financial, analytical, and other programmatic documenting actions.  

 

This position requires limited travel, however there may be potential for increased travel.

Essential Job Responsibilities

** This is a hybrid position local to the Rome, NY area requiring limited on-site training and periodic team meetings **

 

This position is a multi-discipline position which will support the program/project manager and will support day-to-day contract administration for deliverables, financials, management briefing materials, project tracking, and general administrative duties.

 

In this position you will:                   

  • Submit and track request to initiate purchase (RIPS)
  • Submit and track travel authorization requests (TARS)
  • Approve and track subcontractors’ invoices and accruals
  • Support SharePoint site
  • Ensure up-to-date project checklists
  • Assist the project/program manager in project financials
  • Initiate and track subcontractor actions
  • Participate in weekly team calls
  • Monitor projects from initiation through close through project timelines and document submissions to ensure proper execution
  • Brief the program/project manager on the status of action items and metrics to track contract and team performance
  • Research and compile statistics and data for projects
  • Work with program/project manager to identify, communicate, and resolve risk

Minimum Qualifications

0 years experience with Bachelors in related field or a High School Diploma or equivalent and 4 years relevant experience.

  • Extremely proficient in math/finance management
  • Experience with financials and estimate at completions (EAC)
  • Excellent MS office skills and proficient in Excel
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Must be able to work with little supervision and the ability to take charge of tasks
  • Effective organizational skills
  • Security clearance: ability to obtain

Preferred Requirements

  • Preferred Bachelor’s Degree in related field (Finance, Business Management or like discipline) with 2 plus years’ experience in DOD management, contracting, accounting, acquisition or like background or High School Diploma or equivalent and 3 years relevant experience.
  • Preferred experience in the DoD contracting industry

Physical Requirements

Job performance will normally require only minor lifting and carrying of boxes of records or equipment.
