Sheridan Community Hospital is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to support our Medical-Surgical (Med/Surg) team in a PRN role.

Certified Nursing Assistant Responsibilities


Assist patients with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, toileting, and feeding
Monitor and report changes in patient condition to nursing staff
Support mobility, transfers, and positioning of patients
Assist with equipment such as wheelchairs, walkers, and bedside care tools
Ensure patient comfort, safety, and dignity at all times
Maintain clean, organized patient care environments
Perform basic clerical or support functions as needed
Communicate effectively with nurses and care team members
Follow infection control and safety protocols
Participate in quality improvement and patient safety initiatives



Qualifications


Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) required (or Certified/Registered Medical Assistant)
High school diploma or equivalent required
BLS certification required (or ability to obtain within 30 days)
Previous clinical or patient care experience preferred
Ability to safely assist patients with lifting and mobility needs
Strong communication, teamwork, and patient care skills
