What You Will Do:

  • Analytical work and testing directed at the performance of compression system modules.
  • Communicate technical progress and status to various program groups, senior management, and customers.
  • Effectively work with the Aero-Thermal Fluids (ATF) leadership team to define and execute technology plans, establish standard work methodologies and design system enhancements. 
  • Demonstrated leadership for the ATS team providing Module Center support will be a critical skill for success.
  • Providing technical leadership in performing aero thermal systems analysis
  • Leading closure of key technical issues
  • Guiding and mentoring other engineers to improve technical capability
  • Managing outsourcing resources to maintain technical proficiency

Qualifications You Must Have:

  • Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 8 years of prior relevant experience or an Advanced degree in STEM and minimum 5 years of prior relevant experience
  • Demonstrated effectiveness in working across functions, organizations and all levels of management
  • Experience in a leadership role
  • Experience in Heat Transfer, Fluid Dynamics
  • Working knowledge of continuous improvement principles (e.g. ACE, QCPC)
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required.
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

What is my role type?

Onsite: Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance workers, as they are essential to the development of our engines.

Candidates will learn more about role type and current site status throughout the recruiting process. For onsite and hybrid roles, commuting to and from the assigned site is the employee’s personal responsibility.

The salary range for this role is 101,000 USD - 203,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
