Job Description Summary
Enclara, a Humana company, offers unpaid Pharmacy Technician Externships for Concorde students who are currently enrolled in their Pharmacy Technician program. During your time with Enclara, extern students will rotate through various Pharmacy stations within a mail-order pharmacy setting and work alongside Pharmacy Technicians under the direct supervision of a licensed Pharmacist.

               

Location: This is an onsite position located in Memphis, TN. 

Schedule: Students must commit to a consistent schedule from the following options:

• Select any three days of the week (M-F) to work 2:00PM to 10:30PM
• Select any three days of the week (M-F) to work 11:30AM – 8:00PM

Role Responsibilities:

• Work in a mail order distribution center in a non-customer facing role
• Assist the pharmacist, under direct supervision, in the practice of pharmacy, in accordance with local, state, federal, and Company regulations.
• Prepacking of stock including preparation of equipment and pre-pack labels, packaging and labeling of product for bar-code scanning, and quality control procedures. 
• Stock control functions including stock level audits, expiry date checking, stock file maintenance, and maintenance of internal stock movement.
• General cleaning of work area and general maintenance of equipment and materials.
• Maintains knowledge of loss prevention techniques
• Shadowing opportunities with various departments

Required Qualifications:

• Must be enrolled in a Pharmacy Technician certification/degree program that is affiliated with Concorde
• Must complete and pass Humana’s background check and drug screen
• Must adhere to attendance policy

Preferred Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED
• National Pharmacy Certification – CPhT
• Warehouse experience

Additional Information: This is a temporary unpaid position to meet Concorde’s Pharmacy Technician program requirements of externship hours.
