Supervisory Human Resources Specialist (Classification)

Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-12 level in the Federal service which includes: 1) Providing technical advisory services to management on position classification, which includes writing and evaluating position descriptions, applying OPM classification standards and/or guides to determine the correct title, series, and grade, 2) Advising managers on strategic organizational design, career path development, and/or the impact of reorganization on positions, 3) Resolving complex or controversial classification issues. Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-12).
