Job Overview:
SSCI is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Lead Test Engineer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will spearhead the testing efforts for our cutting-edge autonomy software, ensuring it meets the highest standards of quality, reliability, and performance. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to develop and execute comprehensive testing strategies that cover all aspects of the software lifecycle.
Essential Functions:
- Lead the design, development, and execution of test plans, test cases, and test scripts for autonomy software.
- Collaborate with software developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to understand requirements and ensure comprehensive test coverage.
- Identify, document, and track software defects, and work with the development team to resolve issues in a timely manner.
- Develop and maintain automated testing frameworks and tools to increase efficiency and coverage.
- Perform regression testing, stress testing, and performance testing to validate software stability and scalability.
- Participate in code reviews and provide feedback on testability and quality.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies to continuously improve testing processes and methodologies.
- Must be able to travel up to 50%
Requirements
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- 7+ years of experience in software testing, with a focus on autonomy software or related fields.
- Experience in leading and managing a team of test engineers.
- Research experience in Markov Decision Process, Control, and Reinforcement Learning applications.
- Strong understanding of software testing methodologies, tools, and best practices.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, C++, and/or Java.
- Experience with automated testing frameworks and tools (e.g., Selenium, JUnit, TestNG).
- Experience with continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines is a plus.
- Must have an active Secret Clearance

- Experience with testing autonomous vehicles or robotics systems.
- Familiarity with machine learning and artificial intelligence concepts.
- Knowledge of safety standards and regulations related to autonomous systems.
