Senior Air Quality Consultant

Job Responsibilities:

• The Air Quality Consultant will support the existing project workload and continued growth of our Air Quality program.
• The selected candidate will be expected to manage projects and clients
• Delegate work to and manage staff-level resources
• As well as to conduct business development activities.

Required Qualifications:

• B.S. Degree in Environmental, Civil, or Mechanical Engineering, Meteorology, Atmospheric Sciences, or related field
• 5 or more years of air quality consulting experience
• Experience with air dispersion modeling software, most importantly AERMOD
• Experience using Microsoft Office products, including Word, Excel, Outlook
• Ability to work collaboratively with a team in a fast-paced and creative environment
• Highly developed organizational skills
• Adaptive ability to be detail-oriented while maintaining focus on big picture project objectives to meet competing deadlines and demands
• Self-motivated with a strong work ethic and the ability to work independently and think critically
• Excellent oral, written, communication, presentation, strategic thinking, and “people” skills

Preferred Qualifications:

• Business development skills and experience
• Experience with Nevada air quality regulations and permitting
• Experience providing air quality services to the mining industry
• Experience preparing Air Quality Impact Assessments for EA/EIS sections for NEPA is strongly preferred
• Experience with California and other western states air quality regulations and permitting
• Experience preparing greenhouse gas (GHG) impact analyses
• Indoor air quality experience

Physical and Travel Requirements:

• Ability to travel regionally as needed and conduct fieldwork
• Ability to work out-of-town for varying amounts of times (over-night trips to multiple weeks in some limited cases)
• Wear personal protective equipment
• Perform duties outside of normal working hours, as necessary
