Production Supervisor

MEPPI’s High Voltage Switchgear Division (HVSD) is seeking a dedicated and hands-on Production Supervisor to lead the assembly and testing of MEPPI products, ensuring that quality, safety, and production goals are achieved. This role is pivotal in maintaining efficient operations, fostering positive employee relations, and upholding the standards of excellence that define MEPPI.

What You’ll Do

Lead Production Operations:
Supervise daily assembly and testing activities across assigned areas and shifts to ensure product quality, on-time delivery, and safety compliance. Promote teamwork and a culture of accountability.

Develop and Support Your Team:
Train, cross-train, and mentor employees to enhance technical skills and career growth. Encourage engagement and continuous learning within the team.

Plan and Prioritize Work:
Prepare weekly work schedules and daily assignments based on production demands. Manage workflow to meet deadlines efficiently while adapting to changing priorities.

Champion Safety:
Ensure all technicians follow safety procedures and maintain a safe work environment. Lead timely and thorough accident investigations, implement corrective actions, and promote proactive safety practices.

Drive Quality and Efficiency:
Oversee assembly and testing processes to maintain MEPPI’s high standards for product excellence. Review job paperwork, including Job Folders, late releases, and MRR dispositions, ensuring all work is executed accurately and on schedule.

Foster Communication and Collaboration:
Participate in safety, production, and team meetings to align priorities and share best practices. Collaborate with engineering, scheduling, and other departments to resolve issues and enhance workflow.

Manage Performance and Engagement:
Conduct formal performance appraisals, administer corrective actions as needed, and support employee growth through coaching and feedback. Maintain accurate records of attendance, disciplinary actions, and performance metrics.

Maintain a World-Class Work Environment:
Ensure work areas are clean, organized, and compliant with Tool Control procedures. Request maintenance as needed and uphold 5S principles to drive continuous improvement.

Support Hiring and Retention:
Participate in the selection and evaluation of employees to ensure MEPPI recruits and retains top talent aligned with its values and performance expectations.

What You Bring

Education:
An Associate’s Degree in a technical or business field, plus a minimum of 2 years of prior supervisory experience—or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Experience & Skills:

• Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate, train, and develop a high-performing team.
• Detailed knowledge of production assembly and testing methods, processes, and tools.
• Developed technical understanding of mechanical, electrical, and electronics systems.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
• Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
