You'll be involved in conducting position evaluations, preparing job descriptions, creating reports and conducting research and analysis on internal and market data. Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
Provides support to implementation, analysis and administration of compensation programs for various associate groups, including exempt, non-exempt and management.
Establishes collaborative relationships with peers, Human Resources (HR) partners and business unit leaders. Represents compensation interests and simultaneously responds to the needs of the business unit; resolves issues with minimum noise; is seen as a great teammate. Gains trust and support of peers and customers through dedication to consistently delivering results, while encouraging collaboration.
Takes direction from the compensation consultant to review job evaluation requests and take action to market match, slot and price each role.
Assists in all phases of the survey process. This includes participation in all surveys, responding to routine survey vendor requests, analysis of the returned survey data and coordinating the impact of survey data on the placement of jobs within the Nationwide structure
Conducts data analysis, modeling and reporting with a high level of attention to detail.
Implements and maintains compensation systems, including system testing and data integrity audits. May maintain centralized email.
Maintains compliance with all state and federal employee relations/compensation statutes and legislation, including: FLSA, determining exemption status of jobs and assessing classification of associates, minimum wage (CA IT professionals) and pay equity, etc.
Serves, as required, on project teams and manages projects with direction. May represent the office of compensation on task forces, and committees and project assignments.
Makes process improvement recommendations to improve efficiencies and increase customer satisfaction. Uses technology to increase efficiencies. Makes recommendations on new processes, current products, and new products that add value to the customer.
May perform other responsibilities as assigned.
Reporting Relationships: Reports to Director, Compensation or Senior Consultant, Compensation. This is an individual contributor role.
Typical Skills and Experiences:
Education: Undergraduate studies in areas such as business administration, human resource management, psychology or related areas preferred.
License/Certification/Designation: Courses toward Certified Compensation Professional (CCP) designation preferred.
Experience: Typically, two or more years of related experience in compensation-related field. Project management experience a plus. Prefer business/insurance experience as well.
