Position Overview

Infrastructure Products Europe (IPE) seek to appoint a Finance Director. As an integral part of the organisational leadership team, the Finance Director will have oversight responsibility for the financial performance of the business and setting out the financial strategy for driving its long-term profitability and growth. In addition this role, they will provide strategic and financial guidance, insight, and analysis to ensure that our financial commitments, budgetary ambitions, and business optimisation targets are met. The Finance Director will also have responsibility for the maintenance and development of all necessary policies and procedures to ensure the sound financial management and risk management and control of the company in line with all CRH and regulatory requirements and will have experience in providing input into M&A activities and planned capital investments.

 

Key Tasks and Responsibilities

In this role, you will:

 Manage the financial activities and performance of the various business units within the regional structure

 Continuously review the financial strategy and policies to ensure they align with Company objectives

 Lead the evolution of the finance organisational structure across Europe as part of operating model enhancements and further integration of the businesses

 Contribute to the achievement of the company’s business objectives by providing advice and guidance on financial strategy

  Coach and develop all direct reports and the wider finance function to drive a high-performance culture in alignment with the broader Europe Finance talent agenda

 Establish close working relationships with all key internal, CRH and external stakeholders

 Drive the evolution of the Company’s finance function including further ERP rollouts and development of necessary tools including Performance management, Data analytics, MI systems

 Prepare and control the company’s annual operating budget

 Oversee the preparation of the company’s financial accounts

 Ensure compliance with legislative requirements and CRH Group policies

 Develop and maintain all necessary systems, policies and procedures for efficient financial management and effective internal control

 Ensure appropriate risk management framework in place

 Lead and support the finance teams across the business in the delivery of major Capex projects and Acquisitions

 Provide analysis and guidance on external contracts and services provided by suppliers to ensure that these are operating effectively and provide the best value to the company
