The Report Developer will examine and evaluate requirements to build reports for various business needs. Provides support to clients and resolve technical problems by analyzing report logic and applying critical thinking skills.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for developing stored procedures and reports that meet customer requirements
  • Suggesting and implementing procedural enhancements and code optimizations
  • Responsible for documentation configuration management
  • Demonstrating knowledge of Project Life cycle
  • Implementing code and reports in line with established plans and standards for the product
  • Liaising with architects, business analysts, developers and testing teams for content input and document reviews to ensure that product functionality is well documented.
  • Pro-actively understanding changes to project scope and making relevant changes to stored procedures and report code
  • Work with clinical analysts, clinicians, and other end-users to understand and document business requirements for reports
  • Understanding of relational databases and data analysis, extracts, and reporting is required
  • Make prompt, technically sound decisions and recommendations that add value to business priorities and needs
  • Assist Quality Assurance team with validating reports
  • Escalating issues in a timely manner and suggesting improvements
  • Providing peer review support to work produced by others, confirming use of relevant coding standards; approving work produced by others
  • Provide on-call support on rotating basis for Production report related issues
  • Provide on-site support during activations

Qualifications:

  • Microsoft SQL experience required
  • Experience with report writing tools (MS Visual Studio, MS SQL Server, MS SQL Reporting Services, SQL Server Integration Services, etc.)
  • Understanding of relational databases concepts
  • Strong analytical and documentation skills
  • Ability to ask probing questions to determine the desired outcomes for report requests
  • Strong communication skills
  • Team player
  • Healthcare background a plus
  • Knowledge of Allscripts Sunrise Clinical Manager application a plus
  • Microsoft Office experience
  • Successful completion of a Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant Program of study is mandatory

Knowledge & Experience 

•    5-7 or more years of rich experience in writing T-SQL queries in MS SQL Server 
•    Proficient in .NET or programming 
•    Sound analytical and logical skills to deal with complex databases
•    Strong verbal & written communication skills to work with client directly
•    Excellent problem-solving, troubleshooting, debugging, and unit-testing skills
•    Eager to learn new technologies and must possess the positive attitude as a team player, willing to explore the unknown areas as a part of work assignment
•    Good to have skills:
•    Experience in SSRS, data warehousing, Power BI, SSIS, SSAS 
•    US Healthcare domain knowledge 
•    Experience on Arden syntax/MLM (Medical Logic Module)
•    Responsibilities:
•    Ownership of assigned deliverables
•    Suggest and implement optimum design changes
•    Create efficient and fully documented code, with unit testing
•    Providing solutions for complex software problems in the designated timeline
