As an Electrical Engineering Intern, you will be a member of a dynamic organization while thinking creatively about ways to make our processes better, faster, and cheaper. You will share a passion for accelerating the capabilities of the company and customers through improvements of the semiconductor manufacturing process.

What You'll Do

Lam’s Pilot Engineering team is a part of Global Operations and works cross functionally with design engineering and volume manufacturing to develop the build and test procedures required to construct and ship the some of the most sophisticated equipment in the world to our customers. We leverage our expertise to provide feedback on designs from viewpoints of manufacturability, serviceability, and cost to enable wafer fabrication equipment to be built efficiently, quickly, and safely. Our effective execution enables products to reach scale in manufacturing quickly which accelerates speed to market and enables the continued innovation of our customers.

 

• Learn Lam's automated test scripting languages and work to standardize how test cases are written between global Pilot manufacturing locations.
• Work with existing test scripts to analyze potential failure modes and solutions to step towards programmatic troubleshooting solutions.
• Support system testing and troubleshooting of semiconductor equipment to ensure quality products ship to Lam's customers.
• Optimize semiconductor equipment test processes through sequence improvement, fixture design, and data analysis.

What We're Looking For

Minimum Qualifications 

• Enrolled and obtaining a BS or MS in an accredited Engineering program or related field
• Evidence of strong analytical, problem solving, influence, teamwork, business partnering, and communication skills (both written and verbal)
• The ability to work and deliver results in a dynamic, cross functional, team orientated environment
• A genuine interest in advanced technology and an on-going desire to learn

CA San Francisco Bay Area Salary Range for this position: $28.00 -  $46.00

The above salary range for this position is relevant to applicants that reside or work onsite in the California, San Francisco Bay Area only. Salary offers will depend on factors that include the location you work from, your level, education, training, specific skills, years of experience and comparison to other employees already in this role. Actual salary may vary from salary offered due to numerous factors including but not limited to unpaid time off, unpaid leave, company mandated shutdown, and other relevant factors.
