The Role at a Glance

We are seeking an experienced and versatile Fellow of the Society of Actuaries (FSA) with 8+ years of actuarial experience to join our team. This internal consulting role offers a unique opportunity to contribute across a wide range of actuarial functions, including asset adequacy testing (AAT), asset liability management (ALM), experience studies, financial projections, modeling, strategic and transformational initiatives, and valuation. The ideal candidate will be an independent, proactive problem solver who thrives in dynamic environments and enjoys collaborating with cross-functional teams.

 

What you'll be doing

•Serve as an internal actuarial consultant, filling various key actuarial resource needs within corporate finance.

 
•Assignments are expected to be 2-12 weeks in duration and extend to a wide variety of functions, such as:
-AAT and ALM
-Experience Studies
-Model Development
-Strategic and Transformational Initiatives
-Valuation and Financial Reporting 


•Contribute to a culture of continuous learning and innovation

What we’re looking for

Must Haves:
•8+ years of actuarial experience with life insurance or annuities
•FSA designation
•Experience in areas such as actuarial valuation and modeling, financial projections, or experience studies
•Self-starter and demonstrated ability to work independently
•Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills
•Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt to changing business needs
•Undergraduate degree 

 

Nice to Haves:
•Proficiency in tools such as AXIS, MG-ALFA, Dataiku, Tableau, or similar
•Life insurance and annuity in-depth product knowledge
•Strong understanding of regulatory and accounting frameworks (Stat/GAAP/Tax/RBC)

The pay range for this position is $108,501 - $195,900 with anticipated pay for new hires between the minimum and midpoint of the range and could vary above and below the listed range as permitted by applicable law. Pay is based on non-discriminatory factors including but not limited to work experience, education, location, licensure requirements, proficiency and qualifications required for the role.
