Health and Nursing Services Director (RN) Responsibilities:

• As a Health and Nursing Services Director (RN, you will oversee the nursing department, nursing managers, nurses, and CNAs.
• You will oversee the Nursing Department Education, ensure in-service trainings and competencies are compliant on aa monthly basis.  
• You will make written and oral reports/recommendations to the Executive Director as necessary concerning the operations of the nursing department.
• Planning, developing, organizing, implementing the day-to-day functions of the nursing department as well as implementing policies and procedures in accordance with the governing rules.

Requirements

 Health and Nursing Services Director (RN) Qualifications:

•  At least 2 years' experience as a Health/Nursing Services Director in a Specialized Mental Health Rehabilitation Facility (SMRHF) or a DON/ADON in a long-term care facility preferred.
• Minimum 5 years of nursing experience.
• Registered Nurse (RN) in the State of Illinois in good standing.
• Familiarity with medical software and equipment (PointClickCare).
• Ability to build rapport with consumers, family and staff.
• Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills.
