Position Responsibilities

The incumbent is expected to perform the following functions that the company has determined are essential to this position:

• Perform general cleaning duties, including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and polishing floors
• Clean and sanitize restrooms, break rooms, and other common areas
• Empty trash bins and replace liners
• Clean windows, walls, and other surfaces
• Replenish supplies (e.g., soap, toilet paper, paper towels)
• Maintain and organize cleaning supplies and equipment
• Follow safety procedures for handling cleaning chemicals and equipment
• Report any maintenance issues or repairs needed
• Ensure compliance with safety, health, and cleanliness standards

 

Custodial Team Member Requirements:

• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Strong attention to detail and reliability
• Ability to follow safety procedures and handle cleaning chemicals safely
• Excellent time management skills
• Good communication skills and a positive attitude

• Must be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment where constructive criticism is encouraged.
• Must be able to work on multiple assignments at once, and complete assignments within deadline and budget (if applicable) with satisfactory quality.
• Must be able to operate as an effective team member.
• Must be committed to a high standard of safety and be willing and able to comply with all safety laws and all company safety policies.
• Must be able to operate floor sweeper/scrubber and scissor lift.

Attendance/Work Hour Requirements

• Must maintain an acceptable attendance record.
• Must be willing and available to work such weekends and holidays as necessary and desirable to meet business needs.
