Independent Emergency Physicians, PC (IEP) is currently seeking a Board-Certified/Board-Eligible Pediatric Emergency Medicine Physician to join our dedicated team at Ascension Hospital in Detroit, Michigan. This full-time opportunity is ideal for an experienced and compassionate pediatric ER physician who thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

Position Overview:

Pediatric ER Physician

• Location: Ascension Hospital, Detroit, MI
• Schedule: Full-Time, (shift length is typically 10–12 hours)
• Department: Pediatric Emergency Medicine

Responsibilities:

• Provide high-quality, timely medical care to pediatric patients in an emergency department setting.
• Perform appropriate diagnostic and therapeutic procedures.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Document all patient encounters thoroughly and accurately in the medical record system.
• Participate in departmental meetings, quality improvement efforts, and continuing education.
   

Qualifications:

• Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) from an accredited medical school.
• Active and unrestricted Michigan medical license (or eligibility to obtain).
• Valid DEA license and Controlled Substance license (State of Michigan).
• Certified in PALS, ACLS, and BLS.
• Board Certification or Eligibility in Pediatric Emergency Medicine or significant experience in pediatric emergency care.

Requirements

 Qualifications:
