Overview
We are looking for a motivated and self-driven Information Technology (IT) Intern to join our team. The IT Intern will support our in-house IT department in a variety of areas, including new hire technology setup and onboarding, digital signage support, O365 administration, daily cybersecurity review, and hardware and software support. The successful candidate will be able to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues, assist with the implementation of new technologies, and provide training and support to team members.
This role will pay an hourly wage of $18 to $20.00.
The Internship role is for approximately 6 months for about 25-29 hours/week from January 2024 to June/July 2024.

Responsibilities
More specifically, you will have the opportunity to:
- Learned about OVG and the COnvention Center Company and it's operations.
- Prepare you with practical experience and IT applications.
- Learn about installations, configurations, and troubleshooting computer systems, hardware, and software.
- Enter, verify, and resolve data entry errors in databases, systems, and spreadsheets.
- Follow established procedures and processes for computer maintenance.
- Assist with coordinating and providing training and support to team members in the use of computer systems and software.
- Learn to set up new employees' technology, including laptops, desktops, and mobile devices.
- Learn to provide onboarding training on how to use the company's IT systems and applications.
- Learn to provide technical support to employees who are having problems with their hardware or software.
- Learn and support the company's digital signage network.
- Assist with troubleshooting problems and ensure that the network is secure.
- Learn to administer the company's O365 environment.
- Learn to conduct daily cybersecurity reviews of all systems, emails, and endpoints in a professional environment.
- Learn to check for malware, vulnerabilities, and unauthorized access.
- This is an opportunity to learn to work with employees to understand their needs and then recommend solutions that meet those needs.
- Opportunity to learn other areas of the IT Operations within the convention center, this may include other duties, responsabilities and/ or projects as assigned.
Qualifications
- Actively pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree at an accredited college or university, preferably in Business Administration, Business Technology, Information Technology, computer science, or a related field.
SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
- Knowledge of computer systems and software
- Familiarity with hardware and software installation
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
