Our Certified Nursing Assistant program will prepare you for an entry-level position as a nursing assistant and/or pre-enrollment education for healthcare-related programs. You will find an outstanding level of support and commitment from the Columbia County Health System staff as a participant in this program. 

 

Course Details and Dates:

• Class is FREE!
• Items you are required to purchase for the class: blood pressure cuff, stethoscope, second-hand watch, and scrub uniform.
• March 31st - May 16th, 2025
• Class/Lab Schedule (3/31 - 5/10) Location: Port of Columbia – CCHS Learning Center in Dayton
• Every Monday and Tuesday from 4:30pm – 8pm
• Every Saturday from 8am – 4pm
• Clinical Schedule (5/12 - 5/16) Location: Columbia County Health System in Dayton
• Monday – Friday from 7am – 3pm
• The above dates and times are set, and participants must attend all scheduled classes, labs, and clinicals in order to pass the CNA Program – we do not have availability for make-up classes

 

As a participant in this class, you will acquire skills such as taking vital signs, learn proper handling of infectious materials, record patient medical information, and learn awareness of signs and symptoms of abuse and neglect. A good candidate for this program will have compassion for those in need, attention to detail skills, strong ability to multitask, and willingness to expand your skillset.

The following pre-screening requirements will be completed before attending class at no cost to the participant: Background check with fingerprinting, urinary drug analysis, immunization titers, and TB screening. Class time will not be paid as this opportunity is not an employment agreement.
