Configure and commission commercially available IT and network components in a security-critical environment.
? Take ownership of Engineering related deliverables and their technical compliance and quality (design drawings, design reviews, system layouts, system configuration, …).
? Create sighting documents based on line-of-sight calculations for different camera positions at the airport
? Collaborate with stakeholders, including FAA, to gather and document requirements.
? Ensure all requirements are clearly defined, documented, and agreed upon by all relevant parties.
? Collaborate and coordinate with internal and external suppliers, e.g., from the areas of documentation, test department, and software/product development across the Frequentis Group.
? Conduct acceptance tests with the customers, the project team, and other important stakeholders.
? You will be the safety engineer in a projects, responsible for requirements, analysis, and deliverables and bring the safety mindset to the project team.
? Bring a learning mindset, investigate, and apply innovative technologies or methodologies to improve project outcomes, efficiency, or sustainability.
? Adhere to industry standards, regulations, and best practices.
Key Qualifications ? Video technologies and protocols. ? Proficient in RHEL operating system. Knowledgeable in Windows operating system. ? Comprehensive experience with networks (Layer2 + Layer3) and ideally protocol knowledge (UDP, TCP, Multicast) ? System security management and intrusion detection tools (IdM, SSL, IPSec/VPN, SELinux, AIDE) ? Log aggregation and reporting (ELK/Opensearch, Splunk) ? Network analysis tools (Wireshark) ? Containers (Docker) ? System monitoring tools (Zabbix, SNMP) ? Virtualization (ESXi, KVM, Red Hat Virtualization) ? Data replication and storage (DBRD, NAS/SAN) ? SQL and NoSQL databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB) ? Proficient in at least one scripting language (e.g., Bash, PowerShell, Perl, Python). ? Certifications such as Red Hat Certified System Administrator etc. are an advantage.? Candidates should meet the requirements for a Public Trust Clearance FAA Suitability determination.
