Job Description:

Talent Acquisition Sourcing Manager is a senior role within the Talent Acquisition (TA) team, responsible for shaping and executing inclusive hiring strategies that support an environment of belonging for all.  This individual will collaborate with Line of Business (LOB) culture and inclusion leads. They will recommend and implement initiatives such as inclusive sourcing strategies, events, and community partnerships, while influencing TA delivery teams to adopt best practices. This role will also serve as the lead for recruiting events and external partnerships focused on advancing inclusive hiring and representation.  

The Mgr II, Talent Acquisition leads/manages a team of specialists in the development/design/delivery of effective talent acquisition and diversity strategies and programs for a portfolio and/ or specialized function and acts as a subject matter expert in own area of expertise.

Depth & Scope:

  • Provides people management leadership by hiring the best talent, setting goals, developing staff, managing employee performance and compensation decisions, promoting teamwork and handling any/all disciplinary actions, as required 
  • Leads and manages a significant functional area and overall operation of a diverse group in an area of moderate risk, complexity or scope
  • Manages business relationships at the executive / senior executive levels
  • Ensures an integrated approach with other business areas, broader organization, and enterprise as appropriate
  • Deep knowledge and understanding of businesses / organizational practices/ disciplines
  • Sound to advanced knowledge of external competition, industry and/or market trends in relation to own function / business
  • Focuses on short to medium-term issues (e.g. 6-12 months)


Education & Experience:

  • Undergraduate degree
  • 7+ years related experience
  • 4+ years' experience managing multiple exempt level employees preferred
  • PHR preferred
  • In depth knowledge of recruiting and employment practices with extensive knowledge of federal and state employment laws
  • Must have strong understanding of benefit programs, and compensation principles as it relates to Total Compensation Philosophy
  • Excellent interpersonal, coaching, negotiation and facilitation skills while understanding change management impacts of growth organization
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, organizational, presentation and customer service skills
  • Strong understanding of emerging business needs while utilizing a proactive, consultative approach to meet these needs
  • Proven ability to develop strong business partnerships with client groups
  • Must have proven experience sourcing and closing niche positions and a strong understanding of full life cycle recruiting
  • PC Proficiency in Word, Excel, Lotus Notes, applicant tracking tools with advanced knowledge of the internet and related tools as it pertains to researching and sourcing talent
  • Proactive talent management experience required
  • Strong interviewing/assessment skills and ability to transfer knowledge to team
  • Ability to travel throughout TD footprint as needed

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience: 5+ years in talent sourcing or recruitment, with at least 2 years focused on diversity hiring strategies. Proven experience influencing stakeholders and driving change in a matrixed environment.
  • Skills: Strong knowledge of diversity sourcing best practices and inclusive hiring trends. Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills. Ability to design and execute strategic programs with measurable outcomes.
