About the Role: As an Structured Literacy Tutor (Dyslexia Focus) at Tutor Me Education, you’ll provide personalized, one-on-one tutoring to students with special needs in their homes. You will be responsible for helping students with daily activities, offering moral support, and delivering tailored instruction based on their Individualized Education Plan (IEP).

We are currently hiring for multiple positions across all cities in the Los Angeles, including Inglewood, CA.

Details:

• In-Person Tutoring in Inglewood, CA
• Schedule: 2-3 sessions a week after 3pm
• Competitive hourly rate based on experience

Ideal Candidate:

• Calm, soft-spoken, and understanding of behavioral and emotional regulation challenges
• Able to establish trust and safety over time through consistency and respect
• Creative and flexible in instructional approach, without being overstimulating
• Experience with students who prefer solitude or struggle with traditional classroom environments

Your Responsibilities:

• Experience working with students with complex emotional, behavioral, and neurodevelopmental profiles
• Special education background preferred (but not required if experience aligns)
• Knowledge of trauma-informed and neurodiversity-affirming teaching practices
• Ability to adapt lessons for severe academic delays
• Patient, reliable, and able to build rapport gradually
• Comfortable working independently in a home-based setting
