The Zebra is looking for an objective data-driven leader to lead our Product & Monetization Analytics & Insights function.
You’ll work cross-functionally to assess the needs of the business, identify relevant KPIs, and provide timely and accurate reporting and practical insights to collaborators across the company. You will also drive key product and monetization insights to ensure we understand business health, finds growth levers, and new opportunities for optimization. You’ll own the career development of analysts, and you’ll work with data leadership (including product, engineering, governance, and data science) to influence, prioritize and complete data initiatives. We're seeking a Senior Manager of Analytics to expand our growing team.
Location:
While we are open to remote work across the contingent US, we are still in the process of establishing our company to support work in all states! We’ve recently made the shift from an in-office organization to a hybrid model and love the flexibility it allows our employees. We are set up to support employees who want to be fully remote, in-office only, and a mix of the two.
Please note - we will not be supporting work based out of the following states: CA, MA, NY, NJ.
What You'll Do:
- Grow and manage a team of Analysts focused on product and monetization analytics
- Instill an objective and curious attitude for your team to drive proactive useful insights for business growth; build, train and mentor the analytics team.
- Develop, implement and disseminate appropriate metrics about performance, and outcomes while ensuring tracking and reporting methodologies are sound.
- Work with data analysts and leadership in establishing department goals and strategies, helping to define the data collection needs of the business and the purpose of future work, and also guaranteeing high data quality and reliability across the business
- Explore new directions with the analytics team that will involve prototyping data products to enable forecasting, identifying, anomalies, explaining trends
- Lead our product a/b experimentation program to ensure experiment processes and solutions are best in class and allow for clear decisions to move our product forward
- Drive the day-to-day analytical approaches and explore solutions to particular problems; lead and long-term prioritization of the business's overall analytical needs and opportunities, while also contributing to the generation of insights to support decision making
What We're Looking For:
As we evaluate candidates across all roles, we look for folks who have a strong sense of ownership, great communication and collaboration skills, and a dedication to continuous improvement.
- 8+ years cumulative experience in analytical roles; including developing a team (ideally, building an analytics team)
- Experience driving product analytics and insights
- Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field like statistics, finance/economics, applied math, or engineering
- SQL and Looker experience
Experience that will Impress the Heck Out of Us:
- Startup experience
- Experience in driving analytics for insurance or financial product
- Experience in web-based marketplace or B2B2C sites.
